Role Summary

This Lead Java Engineer will focus on a key growth initiative enhancing our Individual Investors(II)Advisoryservices. The primary focus will be the development of modern, scalablesolutionsandisfoundational for advancingT. Rowe Price’sretail advice offerings.

We will expect you to be agile / to lead / tothink outside the box. You’llbe hands-on coding through the entire development lifecycle as well as leading an Agile team of Software Engineers. In this role, you will foster innovation as you build applications to provide business value solutions for our clients. You will be part of a collaborative team of curious and enthusiastic engineers who bring different perspectives to our projects working with AWS, Java,and Microservice technology.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Lead Java Engineer with 8+ years ofJavaand AWSexperience including microservice development and familiarity working with cloud-based applications. You will also :

• Mentor and lead other developers enabling them to work independently
• Lead development efforts, provide input into architectural and design decisions, providerealistic estimates
• Design and develop solutions working with other internal groups such as architecture,devopsand enterprise security to ensure alignment with enterprise technology direction and standards
• Contribute to code reviews and provide feedback
• Lead discussions to drive tactical vs. strategic decisions, outlining trade-offs

Base Salary Ranges

$145,000.00 - $247,000.00 for the location of : Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers

$159,000.00 - $272,000.00 for the location of : Washington, D.C.

$181,000.00 - $309,000.00 for the location of : New York, California

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
