Primary Responsibilities

Serve as the pharmacist-in-charge for oncology pharmacy services across the health system, coordinating inpatient and ambulatory oncology pharmacy activities.

Ensure compliance with all regulatory agency rules/regulations and internal pharmacy policies, including USP Chapters 797 & 800, DEA, Tennessee Board of Pharmacy, OSHA, NIOSH, HRSA (340B), and FDA guidelines.

Evaluate efficiency and effectiveness of medication dispensing to ensure safe, quality patient care.

Develop, initiate, and maintain oncology clinical pathways, protocols, and professional policies.

Assist in planning, development, and implementation of new oncology infusion satellite locations and pharmacy services.

Ensure accuracy of charge capture and credit, appropriateness of drug utilization, and secure storage and usage of controlled substances.

Oversee program operational planning, budgeting, and availability of necessary supplies and pharmaceuticals.

Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to direct reports (2) and indirect reports (~30).

Perform other duties as assigned to support the oncology pharmacy operations.
Qualifications

Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree required.

Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY-1 residency plus 5 years of oncology clinical practice, or PGY-2 residency plus 3 years of oncology clinical practice required.

Heavy hospital experience background required

Current and active Tennessee state pharmacy license.

Proven leadership experience in an oncology pharmacy setting.

Excellent communication, organizational, and team management skills.

Ability to travel occasionally between clinics.

Pay Details: $142,000.00 to $183,000.00 per year
