Berkeley Animal Hospital is a newly opened (June 2023) and privately owned clinic in Berkeley. We are seeking a full-time veterinary assistant(s) to join our team as we continue to grow.

About You :

• Maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with patients, clients, and coworkers.
• Maintain proper documentation and medical records as required by law.
• Comfortable using multiple digital platforms (i.e. : Windows, Gmail, and Google Drive).
• Our software is Neo, a cloud platform, and we will train you if you have not used this program before.

Clinical Expectations include :

Provide compassionate care to every patient.

Perform routine diagnostic procedures (i.e. : various lab work and radiology).

Accurately prepare medications and workstations upon DVM or RVT request.

Assist DVM and RVT with all technical aspects of dental and surgery (i.e. : patient preparation and recovery, procedure preparation, and sterilization).

Understand vaccine protocols.

Dental experience preferred.

Assist mobile veterinary specialists in cardiology, endoscopy, and surgery.

Ability to monitor and Record dogs and cats proficiently under Anesthesia.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

One year of related experience and / or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Previous Veterinary experience required.

We are a newly constructed and privately owned small animal clinic. We have a 3000 square foot facility with 5 exam rooms, a large treatment area, dental suite, surgery suite, and Fear Free warming cages. We offer acupuncture and have on call specialists that include : internal medicine, cardiology, and surgery.
