Key Responsibilities
Lead civil engineering projects from initial concept through final completion, including preparing reports, documentation, and technical specifications.
Coordinate efforts among project teams, engineering staff, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure quality standards and organizational interests are upheld.
Serve as Project Leader, offering technical guidance and oversight across all phases of assigned projects.
Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure compliance and recommend changes as needed.
Review construction materials and submittals for compliance with standard specifications; assist in developing engineering standards and procedures to optimize water system performance and regulatory compliance.
Maintain and update hydraulic models used in engineering planning and design.
Provide support to senior engineers in daily operations and project execution.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
4-8 years of progressively responsible experience in civil engineering project management, preferably in public works or water utilities.
Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered.
Proficiency in civil engineering principles, project management, capital construction, and contracting.
Skilled in GIS / CAD mapping software.
Familiarity with industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices for municipal water systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
