Job Title : Manufacturing Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at our Lansing location. This role will primarily focus on OEM assembly and composite bonding, including hands-on troubleshooting, defect analysis, and corrective actions. The ideal candidate will assist in daily operations, emphasizing lean values, continuous improvement, and root cause corrective action.

Responsibilities

• Plan sequences of operations, estimate time required, and write process sheets and bill of materials.
• Determine manufacturing methods and processes necessary for the fabrication and assembly of complex products from part drawings and other engineering data.
• Investigate, establish, and implement requirements for equipment, tooling, and material, including make or buy decisions and facility layout for new or revised products.
• Investigate and troubleshoot manufacturing problems.
• Provide technical support to operations.
• Consult with design or projects engineering concerning the suitability or produceability of complex molds, fixtures, or parts.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 6 AM to 6 PM, totaling 36 hours, but employees are compensated for 40 hours. The position is a contract role for 1-2 years, with potential for permanent placement. The company offers 12 holidays and access to Udemy after six months. The environment supports aerospace experience and operates with a large global workforce.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Holt, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.07 - $64.90 / hr.
