Forklift Operator

About the Role :

The Forklift Operator plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe movement of materials within a warehouse or distribution center. This position is responsible for operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport goods accurately and promptly. The operator will contribute to maintaining inventory accuracy by assisting with order picking and using RF scanners to track shipments. Safety and compliance with operational protocols are paramount to prevent accidents and damage to products or equipment. Ultimately, the Forklift Operator supports the overall supply chain process by facilitating smooth warehouse operations and timely order fulfillment.

Minimum Qualifications :

• Valid forklift operator certification or license in accordance with OSHA standards.
• Proven experience operating forklifts and related warehouse equipment in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic understanding of warehouse safety procedures and material handling best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret shipping documents, inventory records, and RF scanner data.
• Physical capability to lift heavy items and stand or walk for extended periods during shifts.

Preferred skills like familiarity with warehouse management systems and strong communication enhance coordination and contribute to overall operational excellence.
