Volunteer & Community Development Coordinator

Job Summary :

Responsible for managing volunteer recruitment retention and engagement as well as contributing to the overall development activities of Alphapointe. This includes volunteer coordination strategic communication donor engagement and assisting in special events to support Alphapointes mission of empowering people with vision loss.

Essential Functions :

• Create and maintain a detailed plan for volunteer engagement incorporating input from stakeholders.
• Review and update volunteer job descriptions to ensure clarity on expectations & qualifications
• Evaluate and improve volunteer experiences including but not limited to communication training and recognition programs.
• Develop marketing and recruitment strategies for volunteers.
• Represent the volunteer program at internal and external meetings ensuring volunteer contributions align with Alphapointes strategic goals.
• Assist with donor recognition special events coordination planning execution and assisting with projects.
• Solicit in-kind event support (auction items partnership event donations).
• Support program and special event coordination / logistics volunteer management and event follow-up.
• Contribute other relevant ideas / opportunities for ways to generate volunteer / donor activity to Foundation team.
• Manage volunteer tracking and reporting in CRM.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
