Billing Clerk

Causley Trucking is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Billing Clerk to provide financial, clerical, and payroll support. The ideal candidate will contribute to efficient payment processing and exceptional customer service. This role requires strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to multi-task in a collaborative environment.

Principal Accountabilities :

Communication :

Maintain direct verbal and written communication with operations managers regarding account or billing concerns.

Coordinate frequently with external partners via email and phone.

Billing :

Process weekly manual billing to meet departmental deadlines.

Prepare invoice corrections, adjustments, and bad debt write-ups as needed.

Enter and update billing information in the proprietary software system.

Receivables and Collections :

Meet weekly deadlines for receivables aging and cash maintenance.

Manage assigned receivables accounts to ensure partners stay within payment terms.

Report weekly to the Operations Director regarding account aging and unresolved issues.

Research account discrepancies including unapplied cash, short / over payments, and payment history.

Qualifications :

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; may be required to contact customers for payment collection.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to define problems, gather and analyze data, and draw valid conclusions.

Comfortable calculating discounts, interest, percentages, commissions, and volume-based figures.
