In this position...

This position leads the Foundational Services (FS) Identity product team, which is responsible for managing Ford Motor Company's global retail identity. This critical product is utilized globally by hundreds of applications, including FordPass, , and Ford Credit to mention a few. We are making significant investments in emerging technologies and agile business practices to drive innovation in identity, global mobile solutions, and the enhanced vehicle ownership experience. You'll have...

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a closely related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, ideally within complex, enterprise-level environments.
• 3+ years of hands-on development experience demonstrating deep proficiency with Java and the Spring Boot framework.
• 3+ years of technical leadership experience, having served as an "Anchor" or Team Lead within Agile development teams, with a strong track record of mentoring and upskilling software engineers to elevate their software craftsmanship.
• 3+ Demonstrated expertise in designing, developing, and deploying large-scale, global APIs on leading cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar cloud technology.
• 1+ year experience in driving and implementing modern Agile methodologies (., Scrum, eXtreme Programming) and engineering practices, including Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), Refactoring, Clean Code principles, and collaborative programming (Pairing/Mobbing).

• Deep understanding and practical experience with microservices architecture, including optimizing for resiliency, scalability, and performance.
• Proficient in the full API lifecycle, including developing, versioning, documenting (., Swagger), and publishing APIs using platforms like Apigee and APIM.
• Hands-on experience leveraging a comprehensive suite of DevOps tools for automation, quality assurance, and security, including Jenkins, SonarQube, CheckMarx, and GitHub.
• Understanding and practical experience with Identity Products (IDP) such as Azure AD B2C.
