Your day to day as a Senior Accountant - Analyst

As a Senior Accountant-Analyst, you can expect to dive into financial reports, analyze data to support decision-making, and ensure compliance with accounting standards. Your days will involve collaborating with leadership, contributing to budget planning, and identifying opportunities for financial efficiencies. With a schedule of Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, you'll have a structured workday to immerse yourself in the exciting world of nonprofit finance.

To excel as a Senior Accountant-Analyst at Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium, you'll need a Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance, along with 3-6 years of relevant experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting. Proficiency in financial software and tools is essential, as you'll be working with spreadsheets, databases, and accounting systems to analyze and present financial information accurately. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members are key to success in this role. Knowledge and skills required for the position are :

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3 - 6 years experience
• Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience using Power Query, Power Pivot, and / or PowerBI skills preferred
