[job_card.job_description]Machining Support : You\n will run CNC lathes, cylindrical grinders, and / or hones to prepare\n components for heat treatment, interpreting blueprints and technical\n drawings to meet specifications accurately. Quality Assurance : You\n will conduct hardness testing and eddy current inspections to verify\n material properties, diligently documenting treatment parameters and\n inspection results. Equipment Maintenance : You\n will perform routine maintenance of heat treatment and testing equipment,\n troubleshooting basic mechanical and electrical issues as needed. Safety & Compliance : You\n will follow all OSHA, EPA, and company-specific safety protocols, using\n appropriate PPE and maintaining a clean and organized work environment to\n ensure the safety of yourself and your colleagues. A high school diploma or GED is\n required; technical certification in machining or metallurgy is preferred,\n with a minimum of 2 years of experience in heat treatment operations\n within a machining or manufacturing environment. Proficiency in lathe operation and\n the ability to read technical drawings and blueprints. A working knowledge of stress relief\n techniques, nitriding processes, and stainless steel metallurgy. Experience using eddy current\n testing equipment and hardness testers (e.g., Rockwell, Brinell). The ability to lift up to 50 lbs and\n work in high-temperature environments. Strong attention to detail,\n problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or\n collaboratively within a team. Certification in Heat Treating\n (e.g., ASTM, AMS standards). Experience in steam turbine\n component manufacturing or repair. In this hands-on role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the\nmechanical integrity and performance of turbine components through precise heat\ntreatment processes. You will set up and operate furnaces, monitor temperature\ncycles, and perform inspections using advanced testing techniques. Your\nexpertise will contribute to the success of our team and the quality of our\nproducts.
