Registered Pharmacy Technician with inpatient / acute care experience.

Previous charge experience required.

Familiarity with patient ratios is important.

Experience with charting systems is a necessity.

Experience with Epic is preferred.

Candidates must have aseptic technique skills.

Knowledge of automation problem resolution is needed.

Experience in automation stocking and use is essential.

Candidates must be able to compound sterile and non-sterile products.

Understanding of controlled substance documentation requirements is required.

Candidates should be aware of controlled substance transfer regulations.

Knowledge of drug interactions is important.

Familiarity with formulary approved product lists is needed.

Candidates should recognize generic and brand names of pharmaceuticals.

Understanding of handling and disposal requirements is essential.

Candidates must know hazardous substance exposure prevention and treatment.

Experience with high-alert medications is necessary.

Candidates need to be familiar with inpatient / acute care environments.

Skills in intake, interpretation, and data entry are required.

Candidates must understand labeling requirements.

Knowledge of look-alike / sound-alike drugs is important.

Experience with McKesson and National Drug Code (NDC) lot numbers is required.

Familiarity with ordering and receiving processes is essential.

Candidates must understand packaging requirements.

Ability to prepare IV mixtures is required.

Experience in preventing and reporting medication errors is necessary.

Candidates should be familiar with Pyxis systems.

Knowledge of removal processes for recalls, returns, and outdates is essential.

Understanding routes of administration is necessary.

Candidates must know storage requirements.

Skills in sterilizing a laminar or horizontal flow hood are required.

Background checks will be conducted.

All certifications must be current and in hand at the time of application.

References obtained within the past year are required.

Travel compliance regulations must be acknowledged.

Modules are non-billable and are factored into the onboarding process.

Any time spent on modules exceeding the designated onboarding hours will be billable.

Modules will be completed during training and recorded through e-learning.
