Medication Care Manager at Sunrise of Leawood is responsible for providing the highest degree of quality care and services by administering medication and treatments in a safe organized manner. Responsibilities include but are not limited to administration of medications, documentation of medication administration, and providing resident care while demonstrating the mission for Sunrise Senior Living, "to champion the quality of life for all seniors" in accordance with federal, state / provincial, and local laws, standards, and regulations and Sunrise Senior Living policies to promote the highest degree of quality care and services to our residents.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Essential duties as a part of the Sunrise team, supporting our mission, principles of service, and core values are a fundamental part of this job. Our foundational belief is the sacred value of human life. The unique responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to the essential functions listed as follows :
Core competencies include the ability to make choices and decisions and act in the resident's best interest, ability to react and remain calm in difficult situations, ability to handle multiple priorities, possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and level of understanding, and demonstrate good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills.
Experience and qualifications include a high school diploma / GED accepted and may be required per state / provincial regulations, in states / provinces where appropriate, must maintain certifications, and maintain the following certifications and ongoing training and re-education as required by Sunrise and state / provincial regulations : CPR and First Aid. Must be at least 18 years of age, previous experience working with seniors preferred, and desire to serve and care for seniors. As applicable, all Sunrise team members who drive a Sunrise vehicle must sign the Driver job description and understand the key essential duties for safety and regulatory compliance.
