Specific Training / TeachingExperiencein the following dance styles : Ballet,Jazz, Horton / Modern,Percussion

Responsibilitiesinclude but are not limitedto

• Attend all daily classes and activities with assigned group, Monday - Friday between the hours of8 : 00AM.- 3 : 00PM from June 22 through July 31, 2026
• Attend Teaching Artist Training (open to all ECE artists) in the Spring TBD
• Attend Staff Orientations on June 17, 18,20timeTBD
• Create class content for thefiveweeks of camp.
• Provide theAileyCampManagerwith a copy of the classone monthbefore camp starts.
• Choreographfor the final camp presentation in consultation with theAileyCampManager, Ailey Camp Administrator, and other faculty.
• Provide onsite support to STG, AC Manager and administrator when not teaching which includes but not limited to :
• Setup / cleanup of classroom spaces
• Supporting the distribution ofsnacks and lunches each day
• Supporting the distribution of classroom materials,attireand AC gear
• Supporting / assisting other faculty in classes as needed
• Assistwith planning and executing camp related events
• Assistwith tasksin preparation for the final performance
• Participate in free periods, on Fun Fridays, and general supervision of campersduring classes, free periods, breaks and lunches, fieldtripsorevents
• Participate in all rehearsal,preparation,and finalshareactivities to support artistic staff.
• Participate inscheduledstaff meetings and individual meetings with theAileyCampManager.
• Provide theAileyCampManagerwith a written evaluation ofstudent’sprogressat the beginning of camp and at the end.
• Experience inage-appropriatechoreography
• Dedication to racial equity and social justice work in the arts
• Strong classroom management skills
• Experience working with studentsofmiddle school ages 11-14.
• Ability to adapt curriculum to meet campers and alumnineeds
• Provide support to campers duringclasses
• Collaborate with otherAileyCampteachers whennecessary
• Receptive to ongoing feedback and provide meaningful feedback toAileyCampManagerand STGwith the goal of improvingAileyCamp
• Dress in theAileyCampstaff uniform and in a neat and clean mannerensuring clothing and / or costumes do notcontaininappropriate references for children (alcohol, drugs, profanity, etc.).
