Position Summary
The Treasury Manager is responsible for managing cash, liquidity, and banking activities across multiple affiliated entities. This role oversees multiple bank accounts, intercompany cash movements, and consolidated cash forecasting to ensure adequate liquidity. The Treasury Manager plays a key role in maintaining strong internal controls, accurate intercompany reconciliations, and efficient use of working capital across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Multi-Entity Cash Management
- Manage daily cash positioning and forecasting across multiple legal entities and bank accounts.
- Maintain visibility into consolidated and entity-level cash balances.
- Coordinate cash transfers between affiliated companies to fund operations
- Coordinate credit card payments and reconciliations.
Intercompany Accounting & Reconciliations
- Oversee intercompany cash transactions and ensure timely and accurate intercompany reconciliations.
- Partner with accounting to resolve intercompany differences and ensure balances agree across entities.
Banking & Treasury Operations
- Manage relationships with multiple banking partners and oversee numerous operating accounts.
- Authorize and monitor ACH, wire, and check activity; maintain proper segregation of duties.
- Implement and maintain treasury controls to mitigate fraud and operational risk.
Cash Forecasting & Working Capital
- Prepare short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts by entity and on a consolidated basis.
- Incorporate livestock purchasing schedules, production cycles, inventory levels, and seasonal fluctuations.
- Ensure sufficient liquidity to meet debt service, payroll, vendor payments, and capital needs.
Financing & Covenant Compliance
- Monitor credit facilities, lines of credit, and covenant compliance across all entities.
- Coordinate intercompany and external borrowing activity.
Reporting & Leadership Support
- Prepare treasury dashboards and reports, including cash position, liquidity, intercompany balances, and borrowing availability.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership regarding cash optimization and financial risk.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes.
- Will work closely with owners and senior leadership
Qualifications
- 58 years of treasury or finance experience, with multi-entity and intercompany exposure strongly preferred.
- Experience managing multiple bank accounts and complex cash structures.
- Manufacturing, food processing, or agribusiness experience preferred.
- Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (multi-entity environments a plus).
