Job Summary

As a Pediatric ECMO Registered Nurse, you will collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to deliver expert patient care using the nursing process. Your role will involve professional nursing tasks such as conducting assessments, assisting in exams and treatments, educating patients, and maintaining medical records. Memorial Hermann employs RNs based on experience levels, allowing for growth and development within the organization.

Join our highly trained Pediatric ECMO Specialist team, which responds to emergency situations at Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital. In this critical role, you will operate the bypass machine to support urgent procedures that can save lives. Our ECMO program, recognized by the Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (ELSO) as a Designated Center of Excellence since 2006, has a proud history of excellence and has treated over 500 patients since its inception in 1992.

Minimum Qualifications

Education : Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Bachelor of Nursing preferred.

Licenses / Certifications :

• Current State of Texas license or temporary / compact license for professional nursing
• Certified in Basic Life Support
• Additional certifications may be needed based on specific nursing unit requirements
