Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Acute Care Discipline : RN Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Local Contract WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an Emergency Room Nurse for a contract assignment at a Prestigious Hospital in Boston, MA. Job Function : Night Shift. 7pm to 7am. Responsible for managing the care of adult and / or pediatric patients experiencing life-threatening problems requiring complex assessment, high intensity therapies, and interventions. Provide support, education and comfort to patients and their families during their emergency room experience. Close communication with all members of the healthcare team, as well as the ability to independently recognize the need for early intervention. Prepare patients for surgery or diagnostic testing. Provide IV insertion, intubation, medicine administration, blood drawing, and many other medical procedures. Job Requirements : Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN). Current RN license for the state that you are working in (or willingness to obtain). 2 years of Emergency Room RN experience is required. BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC certifications from the American Heart Association are required.
