Compensation : $18 / hour (W2)
Job Summary :
We are seeking a bilingual (Spanish / English) Patient Access Representative to support front-office operations in a healthcare setting. The role involves scheduling patient appointments, verifying insurance, collecting payments, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. This position is essential to providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth patient flow.
Key Responsibilities :
Schedule patient appointments based on provider availability and patient needs.
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments.
Ensure compliance with medical necessity guidelines and documentation.
Collect and post patient payments, including co-pays, deductibles, and balances.
Communicate professionally with patients regarding scheduling, billing, and coverage.
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA.
Coordinate with clinical staff to support patient care needs.
Adhere to facility policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree or medical office certification preferred).
Experience in a medical office, healthcare scheduling, or front desk role (minimum 1–2 years preferred).
Knowledge of insurance verification, EMR systems, and scheduling software.
Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Understanding of HIPAA and healthcare compliance standards.
Fluency in Spanish required.
