Job Title : Ultrasound Tech / Sonographer

Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience in general and vascular ultrasound, excluding ABIs and segmental pressure. No echo or breast ultrasound experience required.

License : ARDMS registry

Must-Have : Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.

Description :

In this position, the Sonographer performs ultrasound procedures to obtain desired imaging results according to physician specifications.

Responsibilities include transferring patients for examinations and assisting with the ultrasound examination process.

The Sonographer is responsible for the appropriate operation of all ultrasound imaging and related equipment.

Educating, positioning, and immobilizing patients while performing ultrasound procedures is essential.

The Sonographer coordinates ultrasound examinations to ensure timeliness, quality, and continuity of patient care.

Understanding and accurately following provider imaging orders is crucial.

Required images and related clinical information must be submitted to the Radiologist for interpretation.

Evaluating image quality appropriately is necessary for optimal results.

Open, accurate, and responsive communication with patients, coworkers, Radiologists, and leadership is imperative.

The Sonographer utilizes, charges, and maintains department supplies as needed.

Practicing sterile technique and following infection prevention policies is expected.

The ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment is essential.

Finally, the Sonographer safely performs ultrasound procedures, including patient transfers.
