Patient Demographics : Adult ICU population

Patient Volume / Census : 1216 patients per shift

Admissions : Included

Rounding : Included

Case Mix : High-acuity ICU patients

FACILITY INFORMATION

EMR System : Cerner

Office Equipment Available : TBD

Specialty Backup Available : Back-up physician on call; in-house anesthesia

Support Staff Available : Physicians and anesthesia team

Reason for Coverage : Temporary need until permanent hire

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required : Yes

Credentialing Timeline : 3045 days

Additional Notes : All hours billable

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses : Active WV license or IMLC (IMLC only accepted for new licensure)

Board : Board Certification required

DEA : Required

Certifications : BLS ACLS

Experience : Minimum 2 years critical care experience required

Other Qualifications : Must be comfortable working independently overnight

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide ICU night coverage independently

Manage admissions and consults

Perform procedures such as central and arterial lines (preferred)

Collaborate with on-call physician and in-house anesthesia

Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation
