Join Deloitte's Corporate Finance practice and accelerate your learning and career trajectory. As an Investment Banking Analyst Intern, you will work side by side with experienced and execution-focused investment bankers, as well as clients from a wide range of industries including consumer & retail, healthcare, business services, and global industrials. With a focus on Mergers & Acquisitions ("M&A"), our practice advises clients through critical stages of the transaction process and is intimately involved each step of the way. Even as an Intern, you can become a value-added deal team member offering meaningful contributions to the practice. The Intern program attracts ambitious, high-caliber candidates who are seeking responsibility and a unique introduction to the world of M&A. Many of our Interns return to the practice full time following the receipt of their undergraduate degree.

Work You'll Do Working closely with client-facing deal teams, you will provide recommendations that are aligned with an organization's business goals and overall strategic and transactional objectives. Constructing financial models to help clients assess growth strategies, capital structure decisions, and transaction alternatives will help you develop a comprehensive technical skill set. Concurrently, you will employ a number of core valuation methodologies to help businesses evaluate their worth in the marketplace and advise them on appropriate ranges at which to conduct transactions. Also, you will have the opportunity to learn how to appropriately position businesses in the investor community by articulating value propositions and anticipating potential concerns. Across these responsibilities, you will receive considerable exposure to senior bankers and clients as you participate in each phase of the transaction process.

Regardless of project type, your work will require :

• Ability to analyze companies from a financial, operational, and industry perspective and make recommendations aligned with business objectives
• Proficiency in verbal and written communication skills essential to interacting with clients and teams
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects / assignments / responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
• Problem solving and critical thinking skills in support of both innovative and operational enhancement opportunities
• Ability to collaborate and communicate across Deloitte team members and client stakeholders
• Ability to identify, learn, understand, and implement new concepts, frameworks, and emerging technologies
• Ability to manage own personal and professional development; seek opportunities for professional growth and expansion of consulting skills and experience
• A strong understanding of Windows Based systems and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate is $25 / hour.
