What You Will Do

• Performs accurate collection and documentation of demographic and insurance data for upcoming procedures.
• Verifies insurance, calculates benefits, and obtains authorization, if necessary.
• Explains coverage to the patient and notifies them of out-of-pocket expenses.
• Collects patient out-of pocket expenses over the phone.
• May assist supervisors and trainers in mentoring new team members.
• Maintains a positive working environment and high morale that reflects the philosophy of the service area and Community Memorial Hospital.
• Serve as preceptors / trainers to orientee.
• Serves as a mentor to new associates and assist in new employee orientation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

The annual salary range for this position is $42,000.00-$70,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
