JOB SUMMARY :

The Software Engineer II plans and performs software design, documentation, and development activities of modern web- and cloud-based applications for customers and implements Software-as-a-Service products. You will be part of a software development team’s evolution from a traditional DoD software engineering environment to an OpenShift / Cloud Development, Security, and Operations environment in support of APE prototyping supporting both our customers and internal initiatives.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Providing recommendations and be an expert who can establish an initial DevSecOps environment in a SIL on a RedHat Linux environment, with familiarity with OpenShift
• Being a key part of a team that is transitioning from legacy software to cloud-based architecture, software, and agile engineering approaches
• Develop code in accordance with coding and security standards, potentially including compliance with DoD’s Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG)
• Working within agile processes for short cycle, fast-paced delivery both independently and on a team
• Healthy and productive communication and interaction with other team members, management, and our customers
• Support other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

EDUCATION : Bachelor’s Degree (BA / BS Engineering, Computer Science, or Math); or equivalent combination of education and experience

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE : 3-5 years

LOCATION : Full Time / On-Site in Colorado Springs, Colorado

CLEARANCE REQUIRMENT : Secret

DOD 8570 REQUIREMENT : DoD 8570 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA) is highly preferred – must obtain within 45 days of start

SALARY RANGE : $85,000 to $95,000

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.

$85,000 - $95,000 USD
