We are looking for a seasoned Systems Engineering leader to manage the Autonomy Hardware Systems organization. You will lead a functional organization divided into two core pillars : System Design & Analysis and Verification & Validation (V&V).In this role, you will focus on the comprehensive system architecture and integration of our autonomy hardware. You will own the engineering V-model, ensuring a seamless flow from system requirements down to subsystem and component requirements. Your teams will be responsible for system validation and ensuring that changes in hardware / firmware are managed across the company and rigorously traced back to requirements.

In this role, you will :

• Work with Systems Engineering Toolchains : Proficient in requirements management and traceability tools (e.g., JAMA, DOORS, Polarion).
• Lead System Architecture & Integration : Strong technical understanding of integrating complex compute platforms, high-speed networking (Automotive Ethernet), and multi-modal sensor suites.
• Manage VnV Lifecycle Management : Ability to own the outcome of the system, ensuring comprehensive test coverage from component to system level. Experience executing sensor test frameworks that incorporate metrics from downstream SW algorithms.
• Work in Cross-Functional Leadership : Exceptional skill in navigating matrixed environments, distinguishing between component, subsystem, and system responsibilities, and driving consensus across HW, SW, and Safety teams.

Base Salary Range

There are three major components to compensation for this position : salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. The listed range applies only to the base salary. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
