Job Summary

Responsible for assisting and coordinating plans with senior level management and conducting public relations programs designed to create and maintain a favorable public image for the company. Plans and directs development and communication of information designed to keep public informed of Company's programs, accomplishments, or point of view. Organizes a significant flow of work and meets appropriate deadlines while representing the organization. Develops financial and operational objectives. Ensures operational plans are aligned with business objectives. Contributes to functional strategy development. Has a greater degree of impact on business results and typically manages one or more groups of professional employees.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

• Develops and distributes strategic content, including press releases, talking points, and digital storytelling, to effectively communicate Comcast’s broadband expansion strategy, highlighting efforts to connect more homes and businesses through traditional media and digital platforms.
• Drives brand reputation and trust through proactive media relations, thought leadership, executive visibility, and community engagement, including events, speaking opportunities, and digital campaigns, positioning the company as a leader in broadband.
• Partner with the digital team to produce compelling multimedia content that showcases Comcast’s broadband expansion efforts in underserved areas, rural regions, and new competitive footprints.
• Identify and pursue new and creative opportunities to elevate Comcast’s network expansion story through emerging media channels, influencer partnerships, branded content, and experiential activations.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to pilot fresh approaches to public relations, including hyperlocal campaigns, community-driven storytelling, and real-time engagement strategies.
• Serve as a strategic partner to regional public relations (PR) teams nationwide and act as a liaison with PR agencies, news outlets, and event organizers to ensure alignment with project goals, timelines, and budgets.
• Translate complex technology topics into accessible, engaging messages tailored to key audiences — including press, influencers, and consumers — with a clear understanding of audience segmentation and message targeting.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, synthesize large volumes of information, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
• Be a collaborative team player with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills, capable of influencing across teams and business units..
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
