Waltonen Engineering is actively seeking a  System Safety Engineer  to join our team!

Responsibilities

• Evaluate customer requirements for System Safety and determine vehicle compliance.
• Conduct System Safety analyses to support safety mitigation recommendations for design solutions and design changes. Document analysis reports and recommendation.
• Support System Engineering Department in development of the System Specification Document - Safety requirement management – definition, connectivity, traceability, validation.
• Create Hazard Tracking System (HTS) and Preliminary and Functional Hazard Analysis (PHA & FHA) - as required, to determine compliance to contract and / or System Specification Document. Add other documents as necessary.
• Generate, as required, System Safety reports to be submitted to the Customer.
• Manage end to end traceability of the Hazards mitigations for the assigned systems.
• Create and manage Human / System Interface Databases, Hazard Logs, Risk Registers and
• CUI
• Work with the HW and SW engineers identifying Safety hazards and mitigation strategy.
