Position Summary

The Upholsterer is responsible for fabricating, installing, and repairing upholstered components in luxury automotive interiors. This role requires precision craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to work with a variety of materials to achieve the high-quality standards of Midwest Automotive Design – REV Group. The Upholsterer works closely with team members across departments to ensure interiors are completed to specification, on time, and aligned with customer expectations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, sew, and install upholstery materials such as fabric, leather, vinyl, and foam.
• Assemble, cover, and fit interior panels, seating, headliners, and other trim components.
• Operate industrial sewing machines, cutting tools, and hand tools safely and effectively.
• Read and interpret work orders, patterns, and design specifications to produce accurate results.
• Perform repairs or replacements of damaged upholstery components.
• Ensure proper alignment, tension, and finish of upholstery installations.
• Collaborate with Production, Electrical, and Carpentry teams to support seamless vehicle assembly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Inspect work for accuracy, quality, and compliance with company standards.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
