Chemical Pilot Plant Engineer

Job Overview :

Our client produces food additives using state-of-the-art spray drying technologies as well as developing new processes and equipment for new products such as consumer products and chemicals for in-house use and new client production facilities. This person would be working in the pilot plant and will be mentored by senior engineers and will be responsible for computer simulation, developing new processes, setting up experiments, analyzing data, specifying new equipment, trial runs, working with outside fabricators and clients. Compensation includes a 10% performance bonus, and salary, full medical benefits with salary be commensurate with experience.

Requirements :

• B.S. in Chemical Engineering, with 1-5 years of experience including co-op as a development engineer, a process engineers. Person must demonstrate examples of being hands-on, have strong communication skills, be self-motivated and have process simulation.
• Must demonstrate strong engineering fundamentals and creativity by technical accomplishments or a high GPA in chemical engineering courses
• Pluses – experience with CAD, PLCs, CFD, design through installation of equipment, pumps valves, heat exchangers
