We are currently seeking a technician to join a growing advanced manufacturing organization based in Dallas, TX. The Technician will play a vital role within the materials technology group, supporting the development and optimization of advanced manufacturing processes. This is a hands-on position suited to a technically minded, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform analytical testing using techniques including ICP-OES, LECO CS / ONH, optical and electron microscopy, metallographic sample preparation, XRD, XRF, thermal analysis, and magnetometry, ensuring accuracy and reliability of all results.
Prepare and digest samples using wet chemistry methods such as acid digestion and fusion.
Conduct metallographic sample preparation, including cutting, mounting, and polishing for microstructural analysis.
Support troubleshooting, calibration, and routine maintenance of analytical instruments.
Maintain clear and accurate documentation of procedures, data, and results, contributing to standard operating procedures and technical reports.
Ensure laboratory safety, organization, and compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.
Handle hazardous materials safely and responsibly using appropriate PPE and chemical handling protocols.
The ideal candidate will hold an Associates degree in Chemistry or a related field, with 1+ years of experience working in a wet chemistry or analytical laboratory environment. You will bring a strong foundation in laboratory techniques, data accuracy, and safety practices, along with a proactive approach to learning and collaboration. Experience with one or more analytical techniques such as ICP-OES, LECO CS / ONH, microscopy, XRD, or XRFwill be highly regarded.
