Job Summary and Responsibilities

Is expected to perform duties in alignment with the mission and policies of the organization. Performs duties in support of and in compliance with the performance improvement plan Joint Commission and other licensing accrediting and regulatory agencies. Is responsible to support the Nurse Manager of the unit to manage and coordinate clinical operations in order to provide quality direct patient care to the pediatric adult and geriatric population. Ensures all aspects of documentation care planning and patient care delivery to meet regulatory requirements. Responsible for fostering a positive interactive team milieu. Facilitates optimal environment to support orientation competency validation. Performs nursing assessment and implementation in completing immediate preop orders; i.e. preps IVs medication administration procedural / site verification assessment of labwork / EKGs obtaining signed consents and assuring chart completion. Communicates closely with OR and other departments to facilitate OR schedule and to communicate delays.

Job Requirements

CA RN BLS and ACLS required. New grads to have ACLS within 1 year of hire.

1-2 years of previous experience.

Education level necessary to obtain required licensure and certifications.

BSN preferred
