Location : Richmond, VA

Duration : 6 months

Responsibilities

  • Design and Implementation : Create and deploy virtualization solutions to meet business needs.
  • System Management : Install, configure, and maintain virtual machines (VMs), vCenter Server, and ESXi hosts.
  • Performance and Optimization : Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize virtual environments for efficiency.
  • Security and Compliance : Implement security measures, manage access control, and perform security audits.
  • Maintenance and Upgrades : Perform routine maintenance, including patching, system upgrades, and implementing new features.
  • Documentation : Create and maintain technical documentation for system configurations and procedures.
  • Backup and Disaster Recovery : Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Key responsibilities include installing, configuring, and maintaining virtual machines, ensuring system performance, security, and availability, and performing troubleshooting and upgrades.

Qualifications

  • The role requires a strong understanding of networking, storage, and security within a virtualized environment.
  • Often with a need for scripting skills (like PowerShell) and relevant certifications.
