Key Responsibilities :
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments and procedures, and document all care as required by company policy.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess and identify patients' conditions.
- Assess patient needs and evaluate their responses to care provided.
- Utilize sound nursing judgment in managing patient care decisions.
- Provide primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
- Administer medications as prescribed, including both over-the-counter and prescription drugs.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients.
- Guide and direct ancillary personnel while upholding professional nursing standards.
Minimum Qualifications :
Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree).Current NYS Registered Nurse license.Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required.1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is preferred.Excellent skills in communication, prioritization, organization, and time management.Familiarity with quality improvement concepts and the ability to apply problem-solving techniques effectively.Thank you for considering a career with Albany Medical Center!
