HR Administrator

We are seeking an HR Administrator team member to join us at the corporate office in Overland Park, KS. This role is responsible for executing core HR functions including payroll processing, recruiting, and administrative support. This role ensures smooth day-to-day HR operations and provides a positive experience for team members and candidates. The HR Administrator works closely with the HR Manager to support departmental goals and maintain compliance with employment regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll & HRIS Administration

  • Ensure accurate payroll processing and compliance with federal, state, and local laws
  • Maintain payroll records, tax information, and benefits deductions
  • Support PTO tracking and payroll audits
  • Administer garnishments and ensure legal compliance
  • Maintain HRIS data integrity and support system enhancements
  • Provide direct support to team members for payroll-related questions

Recruiting

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting including sourcing, screening, and selection
  • Maintain Applicant Tracking System and hiring workflows
  • Coordinate job postings, recruitment events, and candidate communications
  • Craft recruiting communications to attract passive candidates
  • Complete employment competitor analysis as directed
  • Train and provide practical tools regarding recruitment and on-boarding journey
  • Assist with job description updates
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding experience
  • General HR Administrative Support

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors as needed
  • Maintain employee records, payroll files, and compliance documentation
  • Assist with employee onboarding, performance reviews, and training initiatives
  • Provide employment verification and respond to HR-related inquiries
  • Assist with company-wide events and employee engagement activities
  • Support unemployment claim responses and compliance audits
  • Administer and oversee the team member rental program
  • Maintain excellent customer service relationships with team members, vendors, clients and fellow associates
  • Support HR projects and initiatives
  • Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with payroll, HRIS and ATS administration systems
  • Strong Human Relations and Customer Service Skills, with the Ability to Maintain Professional Image
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and compliance
  • Collaboration with vendors and cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
