At 185 Restaurant, located at 185 Little Florida Rd, Poquoson, VA, were more than just a dining spotwere a community favorite, celebrated for our fresh, scratch-made American and Continental dishes served with warm, gracious hospitality. Opened in 2020 by locals Lenora Garland and John Chesney, our cozy, eclectic eatery has earned a 4.8 / 5 rating on Tripadvisor and a spot on Yelps Top 100 Restaurants in the U.S. for 2023. From our signature smash-browns to mouthwatering brisket sandwiches, were passionate about elevating hometown cooking with a creative flair.

Compensation : Competitive hourly wage (based on experience), plus opportunities for tips, employee discounts, and growth within the company.

    • What Youll Do :

  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes with precision, including breakfast favorites, sandwiches, salads, and specials, following our recipes and standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with our passionate team to ensure every plate reflects our commitment to excellence.
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down the kitchen, managing inventory, and contributing to menu creativity.
  • Bring energy and enthusiasm to a fast-paced environment, ensuring guests leave with a smile.

    • What Were Looking For :

  • Passion for food and a desire to create memorable dining experiences.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-energy, team-oriented kitchen.
  • Experience as a line cook or prep cook is a plus, but were happy to train motivated individuals.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety and quality.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends (restaurant hours : Wed 3 : 00 PM8 : 00 PM, ThuSun 8 : 00 AM3 : 00 PM).
