Network Security Engineer

Softtek Integration Systems, Inc. is seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer at Dallas, TX. This is a Full-time position. Job Description : 5-8 years of experience in networking 1-3 years of cybersecurity experience Foundational understanding of network security concepts, including firewalls, network segmentation and access controls Basic experience or exposure to firewall technologies (Palo Alto, Cisco etc. Familiar with firewall rule concepts, rule documentation General understanding of network traffic and monitoring tools similar to Stealthwatch General understanding of tools like Firemon for firewall rule analysis Essential Duties and Responsibilities : This team is a network security team where their daily activities consist of reviewing firewall rules, remediating firewall rules and providing guidance. Example Stealthwatch (DEV, QA, PROD) Weekly Status Meeting with Vendor (Cisco Systems) Quarterly Admin Password Rotation Patching / Upgrades (biyearly or when necessary) NetFlow Data / Exporters check and verification System Resource Check License Expiry Check FireMon (DEV , PROD) Monthly Status Meeting with Vendor (FireMon) Quarterly Admin Password Rotation Patching / Upgrades (biyearly or when necessary) Retrieval Check / Verification Usage Data Check / Verification License Expiry Check Softtek Company Summary : Founded in 1982, Softtek is a global provider of process-driven IT solutions with 30 offices in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia.
