Health & Joy Services (HAJS) is seeking caring and reliable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our PRN pool for weekend and evening coverage across our Supportive Living and In-Home Support programs. PRN staff provide vital coverage when primary staff are unavailable, ensuring individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities continue to receive consistent, high-quality care. This is a flexible role ideal for those seeking part-time, meaningful work. Please Note : As part of HAJS policy, PRN staff must be available to accept at least 4 shifts per month.

Resident & Individual Support
- Assist with daily living activities, personal care, and household routines in a respectful, person-centered manner.
- Support a safe, nurturing, and inclusive home environment.
- Provide light housekeeping, meal preparation, and assistance with appointments or outings.
Independence & Inclusion
Encourage residents to develop daily living, communication, and social skills.Support participation in community, cultural, and recreational activities.Advocacy & Engagement
Advocate for residents' rights, dignity, and preferences.Promote meaningful community engagement and inclusion.Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with DDS and HAJS policies.Follow organizational procedures, safety standards, and care guidelines.Teamwork & Collaboration
Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and team members.Attend required trainings and participate in professional development.Qualifications
Education : High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.Certifications : CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain before hire).Clearances : Must pass background checks, FBI fingerprinting, and health screenings.Experience : At least six (6) months of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (or relevant life experience).Skills : Empathy, patience, reliability, and strong interpersonal skills.Other Requirements :Must be available for at least 4 shifts per month (weekend / evening).Valid driver's license preferred if position includes transportation responsibilities.Compensation
Starting Rate : $18.50 / hourEnhanced Rate : $19.50 / hour when staff are licensed as a Trained Medication Employee (TME) and assigned to a shift that requires medication administration.Typical PRN Shifts
Evenings : 3 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM (varies by site)Weekends : Day and evening shifts available depending on program needsPhysical Demands
