Pay : $37.06 - $57.44 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary : Join our dynamic team at UCHealth as an Access Center Registered Nurse where you will play a critical role in coordinating the movement of patients through our healthcare system. You will manage patient transfers, ensuring the best possible care and expediting their journey throughout our facilities.

Responsibilities :

• Coordinate patient movements effectively, ensuring timely transfers and discharges.
• Communicate actions with physicians and arrange admissions as per established procedures.
• Confirm medical necessity, appropriate level of care, and adherence to legal regulations for patient admissions.
• Act as a knowledgeable resource for EMTALA transfers.
• Document all aspects of patient admissions and placements accurately.
• Train new personnel and assist other staff as needed.
• Utilize critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to act appropriately in a fast-paced environment.
