Junior Architect- Architectural Designer- Staff Architect
Our client based in the local area is actively seeking to add an Architectural Designer to the organization, to work on a diversity of commercial, retail & industrial projects throughout the region.
The Architectural Designer will support the design and documentation of building projects in all phases from conceptual development through construction administration. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience producing architectural drawings, coordinating with consultants, and contributing to design presentations for commercial, retail, and institutional clients.
- Assist in the development of design concepts, plans, elevations, and 3D visualizations.
- Prepare construction documents including detailed drawings, schedules, and specifications.
- Coordinate with engineers and other consultants to integrate structural, MEP, and site requirements into design documents.
- Participate in design meetings, client presentations, and internal reviews.
- Conduct code research and ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, accessibility standards, and zoning regulations.
- Support the preparation of submittals, permit drawings, and bid packages.
- Assist with construction administration, including reviewing shop drawings and responding to RFIs.
- Collaborate closely with project managers and senior architects to meet project goals and deadlines.
Qualifications :
Three (3) + years of experience as an Architectural DesignerBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program.Experience with commercial, institutional, or retail building projects preferred.Excellent organizational skills with attention to accuracy and detail.Ability to communicate design ideas visually and verbally in a collaborative team setting.Working toward architectural licensure encouraged.Proficiency with AutoCAD & Revit experienceKnowledge of building materials, construction methods, codes and regulationsCompany offers :
