Job Description

Under the guidance of Cash Customer Operations (CCO) Operational Issue Management Lead, the issue management analyst supports the Issue Management Program.

This person will be responsible for

  • Supporting efforts related to issue management activities and support all phases of the existing issue management lifecycle.

  • Developing relationships with key stakeholders and their respective processes and activities in order to evaluate risks and control requirements. Teams include but are not limited to operations, legal, compliance, engineering and product.

  • Meeting regularly with identified stakeholders to educate, inform and influence outcomes in support of the issue management program.

  • Clear and concise communication both in person and in writing.

  • Contribute to the implementation and continuous development of any systems and/or tools used to support Issue Management activities.

  • Planning, scheduling and tracking timelines and milestones associated with documented action plans including escalating as needed across various lines of business.

  • Evaluating reported gaps and/or deficiencies to determine if they meet the issue management criteria.

  • Monitor and drive emergency cases and coordinate immediate response teams into action.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Issue, Risk, or Control Management

  • General understanding of relevant financial services regulation and supervisory expectations for large complex financial institutions

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, analytically, and creatively problem solve

  • Excellent communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills

  • Capability to identify and report/escalated issues

  • Exceptional analytical skills, with ability to formulate recommendations for solutions based on business, risk, and control objectives

  • Great planning skills, can approach projects and tasks in a tactical, as well as strategic manner, applying a logical thought process with attention to detail

  • G-Suite & Slack (or similar communication platforms)

Additional Information

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Zone A: USD $106,600 - USD $159,800
Zone B: USD $99,100 - USD $148,700
Zone C: USD $90,600 - USD $136,000
Zone D: USD $80,000 - USD $120,000
