Recently named one of Eater's 2024 Best New Restaurants in America,   Budonoki is an Izakaya / Japanese restaurant concept created by seasoned industry veterans with diverse experience and top-of-the-line pedigree looking for a talented Bartender for our expanding team.  Ideal candidate should have a passion for Japanese food & beverage with an izakaya-inspired approach.

Our Team   consists of positive minded individuals who share common principles and pillars of hospitality. We translate our commitment to these values into empathy for each other and ultimately an outstanding experience for our guests.

Our   Food & Beverage   challenges convention and notions of authenticity. It represents quality without pretense. We combine seasonality and sustainability with intelligent and informed creativity. Our goal is not to check boxes from your typical western Japanese menu, but simply execute thoughtful and delicious food that pairs with a cold beverage.

BARTENDER

Reporting to management / ownership, the Bartender is genuinely enthusiastic about the guest’s overall beverage experience from front end to back end, whether it's providing an outstanding cocktail during service or creating a prep sheet for a new one. They take pride in their food & beverage knowledge and are passionate hospitality professionals. They display natural showmanship, have great communication skills, and have a meticulous eye for detail and organization.

Bartender Requirements :

• Fully understand and embody a can-do attitude, demonstrating a level of passion and dedication where no task is beneath you.
• 2+ bartending experience in a similar high-volume bar environment
• Thrive in a collaborative environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - proven ability to lead purposefully
• Advanced knowledge of food & beverage principles and practices with preference for Japanese / East Asian cuisine.
• Certified for food protection in CA by applicable authority.
• Results orientated, self-motivated, and highly organized with an eye for detail
• Committed to safety and good environmental practices in the workplace
• Full-time flexible hours are required (nights, weekends, holidays) or as agreed with your hiring manager
