Description

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing both standardized assessments and observational tools.
  • Craft individualized treatment plans targeting both immediate goals and sustaining long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
  • Deliver focused, one-on-one speech therapy interventions that encompass communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with interdisciplinary teams including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to design integrated care strategies.
  • Provide invaluable education for patients and families to support progress beyond clinical interactions.
  • Occasionally assist with inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure a smooth continuum of care.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development through education and peer collaboration.

Education

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for candidates not ASHA-certified yet.
  • Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is highly preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days post-hire.
