What a Caregiver Does

As a Senior Helpers Caregiver, you provide hands-on support that helps clients maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life. Responsibilities may include:

• Building meaningful relationships through conversation and companionship
• Participating in clients’ favorite activities and hobbies
• Preparing meals and assisting with light housekeeping
• Assisting with walking, dressing, bathing, and daily personal care
• Observing and reporting changes in clients’ physical condition, mood, or behavior
• Documenting care provided and communicating updates with the care team

Caregiver Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Previous caregiving experience preferred, but not required (we train the right people)
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance
• Ability to treat clients with dignity, patience, and respect
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Ability to read, write, and speak English at an average adult level
• Punctual, dependable, and committed to high-quality care
