Logistics Clerk
We are looking for a skilled Logistics Clerk to join our team in Houston, Texas, on a contract to permanent basis. This role is essential for ensuring smooth operations across the supply chain, analyzing logistics data, and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to collaborate across departments to optimize logistics efforts.
Responsibilities
- Drive logistics initiatives and lead assigned projects to enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide comprehensive logistics support across all entities in the region.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify inefficiencies and develop actionable solutions.
- Process and centralize data for reporting, while automating data entry and analysis.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to improve supply chain performance.
- Develop and monitor logistics KPIs to measure and enhance product movement efficiency.
- Prepare detailed reports, statistics, and summaries for presentation to regional executives.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments and business units to improve processes and implement best practices.
- Support global logistics activities, including import / export compliance, cost analysis, and lead time reporting.
- Coordinate outsourcing efforts to ensure alignment with local and global strategies.
Requirements
At least 5 years of experience in ocean freight, including knowledge of Bill of Lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite.Must have international shipping experience.Experience in logistics operations and document scanning.Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems using available resources.Team-oriented mindset with excellent organizational skills.Confident and diplomatic approach to communication and collaboration.A proactive 'can-do' attitude to drive results and improvements.
