Maintenance Technician

Salary: $28.00/hr to $35.00/hr depending on experience

CSI Sands (N.E.)operates state of the art processing facilities to produce industrial silica sand products in Brevort, MI, Buffalo, NY and Cleveland, OH.

We are currently searching for a Maintenance Technician to complement our team in Buffalo, NY.

Reporting to the Buffalo Plant Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for:

• Abiding by and enforcing compliance with safety rules, policies, and procedures.
  
• Repairing, maintaining, installing production equipment.
  
• Troubleshooting machine problems and making necessary repairs.
  
• Performing preventive maintenance following standards and schedules on scales, equipment and conveyors. This includes lubrication, adjustments, and cleaning.
  
• Recommending improvements and modifications to production equipment and machines.
  
• Maintaining equipment repair history records.
  
• Determining the cause of breakdowns and providing improvement recommendations to reduce downtime and costs.
  
• Performing general plant maintenance duties.
  
• Other duties as assigned.
  

Skills and Requirements:

Minimum 2 to 5 years solid experience as a Mechanical Technician.

Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred.

Must have own tools and vehicle.

Ability to read and understand drawings, blueprints, and schematics.

Ability to organize, plan daily tasks, and make decisions with minimal supervision.

Ability to utilize the Microsoft Office suite.

The hours of work will be flexible with weekends and nights as based on business needs.
