What you will do

Our Senior Software Engineers are end‑to‑end owners who have the opportunity to participate in many aspects of designing, building, and delivering data‑focused products for our stakeholders.

Some of the work that you will be doing to help us deliver on our mission is :

• You will be part of the team responsible for building the Experimentation platform (A / B testing) for the company.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather experimentation requirements and develop scalable solutions iteratively.
• Lead the design for the Experimentation Platform including the integrations with various business‑critical applications.
• Develop and operate high‑scale data products with a focus on trustworthiness of analyzed data, and debuggability / actionability for feature teams and platform reliability.
• Engineer sophisticated data pipelines using Airflow, and Databricks, with focus on performance, costs and data integrity.
• Drive the development of advanced statistical techniques to reduce the experiment cycle times and maintain trust in experiment data.
• Drive complex changes involving multiple components and complex systems run by other software engineers.

Compensation & Benefits

CO, CA, IL, NY, WA, and Washington DC residents only : In accordance with CO, CA, IL, NY, WA, and Washington DC law, the range provided is The Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non‑discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock‑based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales‑based incentives and commissions.

The expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long‑term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well‑being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full‑time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. Base salary range for this role is $124,900 — $228,900 USD.
