Manual Machinist Pay Rate and Hours :

  • $29.00-$31.50 / HR plus a $2.00 / hr shift differential
  • Monday through Friday, 2 : 00 pm-10 : 30 pm

Manual Machinist Job Description :

  • Operate VTL's, Engine Lathes, Radial Drill / Mill(Bridgeport, Mecof), keyway, balance, TOS
  • Plans how operations will be performed on the machine. This includes part holding and alignment and proper tooling.
  • Read and followed complex blueprints and sketches, made machine and tooling adjustments for a wide range of parts, and operated both part and tool probing for accurate measurements, along with a variety of precision measuring instruments to verify exact tolerances and finishes.
  • Perform required mathematical computations. Run through involved tooling and process
  • Perform minor maintenance and servicing of machines, such as cleaning and oiling machines.
  • Operate crane, forklift, and other power equipment.
  • Set up and operated other assigned machine tools.

    • Manual Machinist Job Requirements :

  • Completion of two to four years of Trade / Technical School, or equivalent, requiring the use of advanced shop mathematics, together with the use of complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables, handbook formulas, and a wide variety of precision measuring instruments.
  • High School Diploma
  • Must be able to read and write English
