Primary Objective:

Responsible for conducting scheduled servicing of all facility HVAC systems including exhaust and supply fans, air cooled chillers, and thermal oil boilers.

Major Function and Scope:

• Monitor, maintain, calibrate, and alter all components of the building HVAC systems.

• Maximizes equipment availability using planned maintenance activities.

• Collaborate with other departments and vendors to update, design, and install systems as necessary and during expansion projects.

• Operation of powered industrial trucks, including but not limited to forklifts, boom lifts, and scissor lifts.

• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision

• Follow all established standard operating procedures

• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary

• Perform other tasks assigned by management

Types of Experience and Knowledge:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Valid Driver's License

• 5+ years experience in HVAC service and installation preferred

• Relevant licenses and certifications

• Thorough knowledge and understanding in operation and maintenance of all applicable systems.

• Heavy industrial machine operation experience, scissor list and boom operation preferred.

• Applied knowledge in the area of life safety, mechanical and building codes.

• Thorough knowledge in understanding and utilizing technical service manuals, electrical schematics and blueprints.

• Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and other programs as needed.

• Familiarity with Trane equipment and programs a plus.

Physical Requirements / Other Pertinent Job Information:

• This position requires the team member to work with machinery in an environment where there may be fluctuating temperatures, and additional department-specific variables. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required, and may include hearing protection, safety shoes, high-visibility clothing, and eye protection.

• Other working conditions may include working 12 hour shifts and a fixed shift rotation, including holidays.

• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.; walking, bending, squatting, climbing ladders and stairs are required.
