American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Austin, Texas.

Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position at a high-volume Level IV maternal facility with night shift requirements and multiple certifications.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a Level IV Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting
  • Unit includes 20 LDR suites, 4 C-section suites, 10 triage rooms, 51 mother-baby couplet rooms, and 14 monitored antepartum rooms
  • Fast-paced environment with over 500 deliveries per month and high-risk cases
  • Includes perinatal transport program and 24-hour in-house OB, anesthesia, and NICU coverage
  • Collaborate with academic teaching staff and large private OB practices
  • Night shift from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30
  • Provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers and newborns in high-acuity settings
  • Supports an academic environment with exposure to teaching and research protocols
  • Large multidisciplinary team with in-house support from OBs, anesthesia, and NICU providers
  • Facility will be expanding to a new Women's Tower in late 2025
  • COVID-19 vaccine is not required for this assignment
  • All positions are auto offer
  • Local candidates are accepted but will receive a reduced rate per facility radius rules
  • Holiday coverage may be required
  • First time travelers are eligible for consideration

    • \n \n Requirements\n

  • Active RN license to practice in Texas
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery or Perinatal experience in a high-volume delivery service
  • BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross
  • ACLS certification from AHA or Red Cross
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from AAP
  • Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification
  • Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • License and primary source verification via Nursys within 30 days prior to start
  • All travelers must have a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
