About the role
- CBH Medical is looking to directly hire a Registered Nurse for the intake department at Rowan County Detention Center. This nurse will also perform sick calls and med pass. Corrections experience is a plus. We offer competitive wages, benefits, and much more!
What you'll do
Conduct and document comprehensive patient assessments at admission, during confinement, and at discharge.Apply clinical knowledge to illnesses, injuries, and diseases, and develop individualized treatment plans using approved protocols.Make triage decisions, summarize assessment data, and communicate findings to appropriate care providers.Administer medications—including IV therapy—diagnostic tests, and therapeutic diet plans according to physician orders and facility procedures.Provide patient education, utilize referral processes appropriately, and ensure all interventions follow established safety standards.Document patient care using SOAP charting and maintain clear communication with nursing staff, medical providers, correctional officers, and ancillary departments.Provide leadership to nursing staff, identify and address patient care issues, and support continuous improvement in procedures and care delivery.Participate in in-service training, follow all CBH policies, and maintain professional practice standards in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and facility guidelines.Support quality assurance efforts and comply with OSHA, safety, and employee health program requirements.Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.Qualifications
BLS Certification (Required)RN (Required)Correctional Nursing : 2 years (Preferred)Graduate from an accredited registered nursing program.
