Laboratory Supervisor - Immunology

POSITION TYPE : Allied Health

SPECIALTY UNIT : Laboratory

SHIFT : Day - Mon-Fri alternating weekends and holidays

JOB TYPE : Full-Time Permanent

Are you a passionate and experienced laboratory professional looking to make a real impact?

We're seeking a highly motivated Laboratory Supervisor to join our dedicated team. In this leadership role, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the Chemistry and Immunology laboratories deliver the highest quality testing while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

What You'll Do :

  • Oversee all aspects of the Chemistry and Immunology labs, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Lead and mentor a team of scientists, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
  • Champion continuous quality improvement initiatives and ensure accurate and timely test results.
  • Collaborate with physicians on interpreting test results and recommending follow-up actions.
  • Develop and implement effective laboratory workflows and utilize laboratory software efficiently.
  • Maintain a safe and compliant work environment for staff and patients.
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in laboratory medicine.
  • Participate in hospital committees and task forces to drive positive change.

What We're Looking For :

  • Bachelor's degree in Clinical Technology or a related science with a minimum of 6 years of relevant hospital experience (Master's degree in Clinical Chemistry preferred).
  • ASCP or NCA certification (preferred).
  • Current NYS licensure or eligibility for licensure required.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills with a proven track record of success.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to quality, patient care, and staff development.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented with a focus on safety and compliance.
